Not sure how many of you have followed the Steven Lawrence case - I blogged about it here on COTT months ago, but basically it boils down to this: in an extremely rare fluke of criminal trends in the UK, a diversity gets murdered by a gaggle of native lower-class white Brits. The Elites go insane, which results in the 1997 "Macpherson Report," a searing indictment of white British society in general, and the London Metropolitan police in particular, the latter having become synonymous as a result of this Orwellian document with "Institutional Racism."

Last year, the Federally-funded Smithsonian Institution’s National Portrait Gallery in an exhibition featured images of an ant-covered Jesus, male genitalia, naked brothers kissing, men in chains, and lesbian Ellen DeGeneres grabbing her breasts.
The New York Times’ in its November 5, 2010 review of the Hide/Seek, glorified Jonathan Katz and David Ward for “mounting one of the best thematic exhibitions in years”.

The British political establishment forked out 50 million pounds of tax payer money on this single inquiry.
It is not as if this case was the only unsolved murder out their.
So why was convicting two white working class English men of killing a black African man on English territory worth so much to them.
