There were disturbances in Heywood, Rochdale and Manchester, where Muslim shops were attacked and 200 white youths engaged in pitched battles with Muslims youths. The violence flared in response to the trial of 41 Muslim peadeophiles who are on trial for abusing young white girls.
According to the Belfast Telegraph, police sealed off the area in attempt to stop the situation escalating into a full scale race war and are appealing for calm.
